Maya objects of special interest:

    • The Didrichsen Museum has in its collections a number of objects from Mesoamerica including Olmec, Jalisco, Colima, Nayarit, Teotihuacan, Oaxaca, Vera Cruz, Maya, Aztec, Guerrero, and Michoacan. The total number of Mesoamerican related items is 136, whereof Maya objects total in 15 pieces including Jaina figurines and a Chochola-style cylindrical vessel with hieroglyphs. An article on the Didrichsen ceramics is destined to be published by Christophe G.B. Helmke and Harri J. Kettunen in 2003.
